The Samurai can be actually a ancient fiction television series made by Senkosha Productions during the early 1960s. Its Japanese title was Onmitsu Kenshi. The series premiered in 1962 and ran consistently until 1965 of 13 episodes each for ten self-contained story arcs, usually. Also created were two black feature movies by Toei Company, produced in 1964 and a point show. The Samurai turned out to be successful despite its budget. This was the Japanese television application screened in Australia, where it prospered in 1964 and built an incredibly large fanbase among the young crowd at the moment, rapidly becoming a cult favourite. Despite the huge recognition in Australia as well as success in the Philippines and Japan, New Zealand, the series was not widely screened everywhere and also its popularity remains largely restricted to those nations. The spin-off series The New Samurai, including an entirely new personality, which was cancelled after only 39 episodes followed in 1965 This , compared to the first series' 128 episodes. Back in 1973, a color television series was designed for 26 episodes in an abortive effort of the short term reboot and a remake. The TV series All was sponsored by Takeda Pharmaceutical.
