The Odd Couple
The Odd Couple is just a television situation comedy broadcast on March 7, 1975 on ABC from September 2-4, 1970. It has been the first of several Manufactured by Garry Marshall to get Paramount Television, and stars Tony Randall as Felix Unger and Jack Klugman as Oscar Madison. The show is based upon the play of the identical name, which has been written by Neil Simon.
Oscar and felix are two men that are divorced. While Oscar is casual and sloppy felix is tidy and neat. They also share a Manhattan flat, and also their life styles inevitably lead to conflicts and laughs.
In 1997the episodes"Password" and"The Fat Farm" were ranked #5 and #58 on TV Guide's 100 Greatest Episodes of All Time. The show got three nominations for the Prime Time Emmy Award for Outstanding Comedy Series. Its season, by 1973--74, remains essentially the latest nominee.
