Strike Witches
The year is 1939; the Neuroi first appeared at that time. Nobody knows where they originated or what their ultimate goal is, but the truth remains that their attacks drove people from their cities. Humanity creates a new anti-Neuroi weapon dubbed the "Striker Unit" in order to fight them. This new technology boosts and magnifies the power of female magic-users who fight against monsters with the aid of magic. Young witches from all over the world have been gathered to form an elite task force known as the 501st Joint Fighter Wing, sometimes known as the "Strike Witches," in order to use this weapon.
