Spawn
Spawn was an animated television series created by Todd McFarlane that ran on HBO from 1997 to 1999. It is also available as a DVD film series. It was nominated for and won an Emmy for Outstanding Animation Program in 1999, based on Image Comics' Spawn comic series. Spawn: The Animation, a separate series, has been in development since 2009, with Keith David resuming his role as the main character. The series, like the comic book, contains violent violence, sexual scenes, and a lot of profanity. On IGN's list of The Greatest Comic Book Cartoons Of All Time, Todd McFarlane's Spawn was ranked fifth.
