Lockie Leonard
The Australian children's television series Lockie Leonard premiered on the Nine Network on June19,2007, and is based on the Lockie Leonard books. The city of Albany in Western Australia was the setting for the show's production. More episodes were shot in 2009 for a second season that premiered in 2010 in Australia, the United Kingdom, and Ireland. The Australian Children's Television Foundation and Goalpost Pictures Australia co-produced Lockie Leonard. Jebediah sings "Worlds Away," the show's signature tune. The premiere of Lockie Leonard in the United Kingdom took place on September27,2008, as a part of the popular children's show TMi, which airs from 9:00 am to 10:30 am (local time) on BBC Two on Saturday mornings. After the initial 12 episodes aired, the show moved to CBBC Channel. Logie Award for Best Children's Series in2008, and Sean Keenan was nominated for the Graham Kennedy Award for Most Outstanding New Talent. The American Film Institute named it the best children's drama series of 2007. Best International Children's Drama Series at the 2007 BAFTA Awards was also nominated for the show.
