Legends of the Hidden Temple

Legends of the Hidden Temple is an action-adventure game show for kids. The main focus of the show is a temple that is "full of lost treasures guarded by mysterious Mayan temple guards." Kirk Fogg hosts and guides the teams, and Dee Bradley Baker announces and voices a talking Olmec Head who "knows the secrets behind each of the treasures in his Temple." Six teams of two kids compete to get one of the historical artifacts in the Temple by doing physical stunts and answering questions about history, mythology, and geography. After three rounds of elimination, only one team is left. That team gets to go through the Temple, get the artifact in three minutes, and win the grand prize. Legends of the Hidden Temple was made by Stone Stanley Productions and Nickelodeon, and it was filmed at Nickelodeon Studios at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida. It ran on Nickelodeon from September11, 1993 to1995, and in reruns until February28, 1999. From 1999 to2007, reruns of the show were shown on Nick GAS, and occasionally on TeenNick. In1995, Legends of the Hidden Temple won a CableACE award for being the Best Game Show Special or Series.
