I'm Alan Partridge
Two seasons of six episodes each were made of the BBC situation comedy I'm Alan Partridge, starring Steve Coogan, between 1997 and 2002. The sitcom followed Alan Partridge, a failed television host whose adventures were parodied in Knowing Me, Knowing You with Alan Partridge and who now hosts a radio show in Norwich. Both series were written by Peter Baynham, Coogan, and Armando Iannucci; Coogan was supported by Felicity Montagu as his devoted, mouse-like personal assistant Lynn Benfield, Simon Greenall as Geordie Travel Tavern handyman/BP garage attendant Michael, and Phil Cornwell as radio DJ Dave Clifton. It was nominated for three BAFTAs, two British Comedy Awards, and a Royal Television Society award, and garnered positive reviews from both reviewers and fans.
