Gilligan's Island
Gilligan's Island is a American sitcom Produced and Created by Sherwood Schwartz and originally produced by United Artists Television. The situation comedy series featured Bob Denver. Alan Hale, Jr.. Jim Backus. Natalie Schafer. Tina Louise. Russell Johnson. and Dawn Wells. It aired from September 26, 1964, to September 4, 1967. As they attempted to survive the island about the show followed the adventures of seven castaways. Most episodes revolve around the castaways' struggles and their failed attempts to flee their plight.
Gilligan's Island conducted for a total of 98 episodes. The first season was first filmed in black-and-white. These episodes had been colorized for syndication. The series's third and second seasons and the three tv picture sequels were filmed in color.
The show enjoyed solid ratings throughout its first run, and grew in popularity during decades of syndication in the late 1970s and 1980s when the show conducted in the afternoon. To day, Gilligan's name character is widely recognized as an American icon.
