Endurance
Endurance is a American reality television kids' program, previously shown on the Discovery Kids cable network in the United States and also on networks in different countries. The show's structure is somewhat similar to the CBS television show Survivor, though with a cast that is teenaged. Even though Endurance contestants compete as pairs, contestants reside at a remote location and take part in various physical and mental challenges, and also the outcome of the contests determines which group of players will be expunged.
In its run between 2002 -- 2008, each season began with a fresh slate of contestants, who were gradually eradicated until the two teams competed to find all of the Endurance Pyramid pieces as the season progressed. The winning boy and girl received an all-expenses paid vacation package to a exotic location since the decoration with their parents.
Production ended with the final episode of the seasonaired on March 8, 2008. Reruns of Endurance continue to be televised at the U.S., on Hub Network, Discovery Kids's successor until July 22, 2013. Reruns on the Hub stopped on October 14, 2011, until the series was brought back for reruns on April 2, 2012 but was cancelled. Spanish-dubbed reruns also air on week ends on Azteca America. Three seasons of Endurance were each nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award in the category of"Outstanding Children's Series", no matter how the show never won.
