Ten years past a strange phenomenon named a"spacequake" devastated the middle of Eurasia, claiming the lives of at least 150 million people. Since that time, the world plagues . Shido Itsuka, a seemingly standard high schooler comes across a mysterious girl at the ground zero of a spacequake and learns she is one of those"Spirits" who're the real cause of this spacequakes that occur if they manifest themselves at the world. He is recruited to make use of his cryptic ability to secure the Spirits' powers from being a threat to mankind preventing them. There is actually a catch: to secure the power of a Spirit, he has to make her adore him and kiss him.
