Aftershock: Earthquake in New York is a two-part, four-hour disaster miniseries from 1999 that aired in the United States on CBS on November 14 and 16. It was made available on VHS in 2000 and DVD in 2001. The film is based on a novel by Chuck Scarborough. Charles S. Dutton, Sharon Lawrence, Tom Skerritt, Lisa Nicole Carson, Jennifer Garner, Rachel Ticotin, and Frederick Weller appear in this film. The miniseries, directed by Mikael Salomon, follows five groups of people in the aftermath of a major earthquake that strikes New York City. It received an Emmy Award nomination for its special effects. While critics lauded the film's special effects and performances, they severely criticized its unbelievable plot, predictability, and lack of reality.
