The Climax
Dr. Hohner (Karloff), the theatre physician of Vienna's Royal Theatre, murders his mistress, the star singer, after jealousy drives him insane. Ten years later, Hohner is reminded of the late diva by another young singer (Foster), and his old frenzy returns. Hohner is determined to keep her from singing for anyone other than him, even if that means permanently silencing her. In the film's climax, the singer's fiancée (Bey) races to her aid.
