The Assault

Saturday 24th. Four GIA terrorists hijack an Air France A300 Airbus at the Algiers airport. The air bus has passengers on board. Nobody knows just what the terrorists' goals are that they are armed and extremely determined. They require the liberation of these"brothers in arms" and desire the aircraft to take off at the same time. After very lengthy and intense negotiations between the French and Algerian authorities, the plane is now allowed to remain. There are three main characters at the core of the actions: some member of the GIGN,'' Carole Jeanton, an ambitious technocrat eager to do anything it takes to reach personal gain from these events, and Yahia Abdallah, a determined jihadist who was raised in the slums of Algiers and continues to be exploited by an obscure GIA envoy, Ali Touchent.
