Symphony on Skis
A daring ski excursion of 2 siblings, who comply with the tracks of their daddy, across the pristine landscape of New Zealand. 30 years earlier, Gottlieb Braun-Elwert set out on an un-chartered expedition. He conquered the significant glaciers of the Southern Alps and went across 40km as well as 4000 vertical meters, from the heart of the South Island to the Pacific in just 18 hrs. A route of impressive elegance, enormous flexibility, impressive vistas and the risk of the uncontainable nature. He called this course "Symphony on Skis". Now, his children Carla, Elke as well as a little team of travelers embark on the same adventure. This film is a tribute to their late daddy who found a love as well as home in New Zealand's Southern Alps.
