Ram Dass, Going Home
In the 1960s and 70s, Ram Dass was one of the most important people in the world. One of the first people to use pyschedelics, Ram Dass wrote the book Be Here Now, is a spiritual teacher, and is an outspoken advocate for death and dying awareness. He is now nearing the end of his own life. In the last twenty years, he has been living at home on Maui and deepening his spiritual practice, which is based on love and his idea that he should be one with everything. The film is a poetic look at life, death, and the soul's journey home. It was shot in a subtle cinematic style, and it's an intimate look at his life's learning and awareness.
