Nostalgia

The Russian poet Andrei Gorchakov, accompanied by translator and direct Eugenia, is traveling researching the life span of an 18thcentury Russian composer. In an ancient spa town, he also and with the lunatic Domenico, who years earlier had their own family in his house for a long time to rescue them meet. Seeing some profound truth in Domenico's action, Andrei becomes drawn to him. In a string of fantasies, his ambivalent feelings for Italy along with Eugenia and his longing for his spouse, the poet's nostalgia for his homeland, along with also his sense of kinship with Domenico eventually become intertwined.
