Move Over, Darling
Nicholas Arden and Ellen Wagstaff Arden are on a plane that crashes in the South Pacific three years into their loving marriage, with two infant daughters at home in Los Angeles. Although the majority of the passengers survive the incident, Ellen is presumably killed when her lifeboat is swept away, and her body is never found. Five years have passed. Nicky has Ellen declared legally dead in order to move on with his life. Moving on includes remarrying, this time to a young woman named Bianca Steele, whom he plans to take on their honeymoon to the same Monterrey resort where he and Ellen spent theirs. Ellen is dropped off in Los Angeles by the Navy on the same day she was rescued from the South Pacific island where she had been stranded for the previous five years. She requests that the Navy not publicize her rescue or notify Nicky because she wishes to do so herself.
