Motives 2

Vivica A. Fox and Shemar Moore reprise their roles in this electrifying sequel to Motives, which begins up three years after the events of the first film. Emery Simms is doing time in prison for a crime he did not commit; while the majority of convicts' claims of innocence are flimsy at best, Emery has every right to protest his unfair incarceration. Meanwhile, Emery's ex-wife (Fox) has married his best buddy, and the two are attempting to live a regular life together. When Emery is assassinated in prison and his brother Donovan (Brian J. White) discovers the truth about what killed his unfortunate sibling, his desire to unravel the intricate web of lies and deception that had previously entangled Emery threatens to have fatal consequences.
