L'Inhumaine

A famous singer Claire Lescot, that resides on the borders of Paris, is dated by lots of guys, consisting of a maharajah, Djorah de Nopur, as well as a young Swedish scientist, Einar Norsen. At her lavish celebrations she appreciates their amorous attentions but she stays psychologically aloof and heartlessly teases them. When she is informed that Norsen has actually killed himself because of her, she shows no feelings. At her next performance she is booed by a target market outraged at her temperature. She goes to the safe in which Norsen's body lies, and as she confesses her feelings for him she uncovers that he lives; his fatality was invented. Djorah is jealous of their new partnership as well as causes Claire to be bitten by a dangerous snake. Her body is brought to Norsen's research laboratory, where he, through his clinical inventions, recovers Claire to life.
