Grandview, U.S.A.

Life in the small town of Grandview, Illinois is similar to that of any other city or town. Tim Pearson, who is about to graduate from high school, wishes to study oceanography in Florida. He meets Michelle "Mike" Cody and falls in love with her. She is the owner of the local Demolition Derby location. Ernie "Slam" Webster is one of the derby drivers whose wife is cheating on him and later wants to be with Mike. Tim falls for Mike, resulting in a major love triangle.
