Cezanne and I
They loved each other as much as a 13-year-old boy would. They shared everything: rebellion and curiosity, hopes and doubts, girls and dreams of glory. Emile was poor and Paul was rich. They skinny-dipped, drank absinthe, went hungry, and then ate too much. She drew models during the day and stroked them at night... Paul paints now, and Emile writes. Paul has missed out on glory. But Emile has everything: fame, money, and the perfect wife, who used to be Paul's love. They criticize, admire, and argue with each other. They lose touch and then get back together again and again, like a couple who can't stop loving each other.
