Bond of Silence
An act of forgiveness from a widow. A killer's remorse. The book "Friendship of Silence" is based on real events and tells the genuine story of a horrible murder as well as the incredible bond that developed as a result of the event. Katy and Bob have what seems to be the ideal life in a quaint little town where everyone knows each other. Both as a lawyer and as a triathlete, he is well regarded. Just recently, she gave birth to a pair of babies. Tonight is the last night before the New Year. The house next door is quickly becoming a gathering place for teenagers. Bob, being the upstanding citizen, walks over to put an end to the disturbance. There is a collision of egos that takes place. If so, he has already passed away. Nobody between the ages of 13 and 19 comes forward. The various forms of media are flooding in. The headlines demand your attention. Katy is looking for an explanation for everything. But no one talks. A truce of silence has been imposed on the town. A suspect is apprehended as a result of an undercover operation carried out by the police. Ryan, a popular youngster, makes an effort to maintain his cool, but the weight of what he done the night before is unimaginable. Katy and Ryan's encounter changes Ryan's and his attorney's intention to enter a not guilty plea in the case. Instead of being a bereaved wife, Katy transforms into a caring mother after her husband's death. Instead of reprimanding, she pays attention to what the other person has to say. Rather than making accusations.
