All at Once

When the sad events of September 11th take the lives of two of his best friends, a young up-and-coming artist in New York City finds himself in the position of accepting guardianship of the couple's two young girls, his life and goals are permanently altered. Currently, eleven years later, he is working as an art teacher in an elementary school, and he is raising the girls as if they are his own. However, the financial strain of living in New York City has become too much for him, and he decides to uproot the family from the only place they have ever known and relocate to Buffalo, where he grew up. This "non-traditional" family is suddenly confronted with change, new surroundings, and a new trip, and they must learn how to adjust to their new life while also attempting to discover who they are in the process.
