Saving Mbango
It's about the life of a young boy (John) who became the breadwinner for a very dysfunctional family. In his family, things have been very chaotic and tense. This gets in the way of his dreams and goals. Mbango is a girl from the village who John falls in love with. Her life has a lot of problems that make John's look like a breeze. John's world gets even more complicated. He is torn between taking care of his family and saving the love of his life. He is always being pushed around by his abrasive and drunk father, irresponsible older brother, and mean unmarried sisters. This puts him in a very difficult situation. This movie is directed by Nkanya Nwai, who has won many awards for his work. It is set in Mondoni, a small town in Cameroon's South West region.
