My One Christmas Wish
Jackie Turner can be just really a university student, that abandoned was abused and starved as a young child. The holidays continue to be very painful for her although she has resolutely turned her life around. Facing another holiday break Jackie takes an ad on Craigslist for My ONE xmas Wish - a family for Christmas - and even offers to pay $8 an hour or so. For her surprise, answers flood in. Among the many heart-felt invitations and letters of support, she also hears out of other people fighting with the overwhelming emptiness that comes with spending the holidays without nearest and dearest. Moved and inspired, Jackie decides to throw a big Christmas party - with all the last minute assistance of friends, her adviser and support group - to find all those troubled folks who finds one for herself as well, and emailed her families.
