Something black has come into the beaches of Erin Island, unbeknownst into the sleepy fishing village's population perched someplace off Ireland's coast. Some anglers proceed missing. Then there is the rash of whale carcasses suddenly washing upon the shore. It's as much as two mismatched cops -- an unkind alcoholic along with his partner, a woman from the mainland -- to defend the townsfolk from the giant, blood-sucking, tentacled aliens that predate upon them After the murders start. Their weapon, they discover, is booze. If they wish to live the monsters' onslaught, everyone might need to find very, very drunk!
