Max is just a battle-weary veteran of this racket that is weddingplanning. His latest -- and past -- gig is a nightmare of a fête, including stuffy period costumes for the cooks, a vain, hyper- sensitive singer who believes he is a Gallic James Brown, and also a morose, micro-managing groom determined to create Max's nighttime as gloomy as you can. But what makes the affair bitter to survive is that Joisette, ostensible girl friend and also Max's colleague, seems to have written him off, coolly about her professional duties. It's going to be a very long night... especially when the groom's airborne serenade will get penalized.
