The Love Boat
The Love Boat is an American tv series set on a cruise ship, which aired on the ABC Television Network in September 24, 1977, until May 24, 1986. The series starred Gavin MacLeod whilst the boat's captain. It had been a portion of ABC's favorite Saturday night line up that comprised Fantasy Island until that series.
The 1976 made-for-TV picture on which the series had been based was itself based on the nonfiction book The Love Boats from Jeraldine Saunders, a cruise director. Before the show began its run two more television movies would follow.
The executive producer for the show had been Aaron Spelling, who produced several series for ABC from the 1960s into the 1980s.
In 1997, the episode together with segment names"Hidden Treasure","Picture from the Past", and"Ace's Salary" was ranked No. 82 on television Guide's 100 Greatest Episodes of All Time. The Love Boat ran for 10 seasons, including specials.
