Team Knight Rider

The Knight Rider brand served as the basis for the adaptation of a television series called Team Knight Rider, which aired on syndicated television between the years 1997 and 1998. Based on the original series that was established by Glen A. Larson, who also served as an executive producer, writers and producers Rick Copp and David A. Goodman came up with the concept for TKR. TKR was created by Gil Wadsworth and Scott McAboy, and it aired on Universal Domestic Television. The show only lasted for one season, which consisted of 22 episodes that were each an hour long, until it was canceled owing to low ratings. The plot of the movie focuses on a brand-new, high-tech criminal fighting team that has been put together by the Foundation for Law and Government to follow in the footsteps of the legendary Michael Knight and his supercar KITT. The phrase "one guy making a difference" has been replaced by "five people making a difference," and each of the five team members has a digital talking vehicle equivalent. TKR pursues legendary criminals that act "beyond the law," just like the original team did. These criminals include spies and assassins, as well as terrorists and drug dealers. At the very end of the last episode of the season and the entire series, Michael Knight made a surprise cameo appearance, however he was only visible from behind.
