Tarzan

Tarzan is a series which aired on NBC from 1966 -- 1968. The series portrayed Tarzan as a well educated character, person that, tired of culture, had returned into the jungle. The series retained several of the trappings of this traditional movie series, including Cheeta, while excluding other elements, such as Jane, as part of their"new look" for its fabled ape man that producer Sy Weintraub had introduced in previous motion pictures starring Gordon Scott, Jock Mahoney, along with Mike Henry. Repeat episodes were aired by CBS the program through the summer of 1969.
