Robot Wars
Robot Wars was a game show modelled onto a US-based competition of the same name. This was broadcast on BBC 2 from 1998 until 2003, having its final series broadcast at 2004 and 2003 on Channel 5. Additional string were filmed for specific sectors of the worldwide market, for example two series of Robot Wars Extreme Warriors together with U.S. competitors for the TNN network, and 2 of Dutch Robot Wars for supply at the Netherlands. This UK Robot Wars' show was attracted as Robot Wars: Grand Champions at 2002 about TNN, and hosted by Joanie Laurer. The roboteers themselves formed The Fighting Robot Association carry on engaging in contests for new audiences.
The series involved teams of amateur and professional roboteers who left their robots to fight against each other in both tournament and friendly games. In addition to fighting each other, that they had in order to avoid the"House Robots", which were not bound by exactly precisely the same weight or weapon limits because of the contestants. Robot Wars was successful in its own merchandising, and had crowds of 4 million.
