Pagan Peak

Two detectives are dispatched to examine the discovery of a gruesomely staged body close to the border between Germany and Austria in the Alps. The body was found propped up on a mountain pass. The Austrian detective Gedeon, on the other hand, doesn't appear to have any goals or aspirations related to his work, in contrast to the German investigator Ellie, who is facing the first significant test of her career. They don't have to look very far before they find similar crime scenes with victims placed in a way that is evocative of pagan rituals. It would appear that this is all a part of a larger and more nefarious scheme. Ellie is finding that she is under an increasing amount of pressure to comprehend the crazed killer's reasons for his crimes so that she might stop him. As the hunt continues, they are drawn deeper and deeper into the shadowy valleys, ancient Alpine traditions, and the killer's world of paranoia.
