Meteor Garden
Meteor Garden is a 2001 Taiwanese drama starring Vanness Wu, Jerry Yan, Vic Zhou, Barbie Hsu and Ken Chu. It relies on Japanese sh?jo manga show, Boys Over Flowers, composed by Yoko Kamio. Comic Ritz International Production with Angie Chai as manufacturer produced it and led by Cai Yuexun.
The show was broadcast in Taiwan to free to air Chinese Television System April 2001 August 2001. An additional mini-series, Meteor Rain was manufactured in April 2001 and the sequel Meteor Garden II has been broadcast from 11 November 2002 to 25 December 2002. The show is the very first Tv adaptation of the manga, followed closely by its sequel Meteor Garden II and Japanese Hana Yori Dango, South Korean Boys and its own sequel Hana Yori Dango Returns Over Flowers.
At the end of the chain, F4 Jerry Yan, Vic Zhou, Vanness Wu and Ken Chu continued to carry out together and released three studio albums as quartet boy group F4. They ceased the use of the name"F 4" at 2007 at the objection of Japanese publisher Shueisha, that owns the copyright to Hana Yori Dango, in order to avoid any confusion with the Japanese and South Korean version of the live-action adaptations of the manga. The group has been renamed"JVKV", by the first initial of the quartet in order of descending age.
