Merlin

Merlin is actually a tv miniseries which aired in 1998 that retells the legend of King Arthur from the perspective of the Merlin. Sam Neill stars in the title character in a story that covers not just the rise and collapse of Camelot but also the phase in Britain's history that simplifies it. The film deviates from more conventional variants of this legend by keeping Merlin through the whole reign of King Arthur over Britain and from including personalities such as Queen Mab. The film was followed by a movie in 2006, Merlin's Apprentice, which was connected with Arthurian legend.
