Life on Mars

Life on Mars is a science fiction crime drama television series that aired on ABC in October 9, 2008 on April 1, 2009. It is a version of the identical name produced by the BBC's BAFTA-winning original UK collection. The series was co-produced from Kudos Film & Television, 20th Century Fox Television and ABC Studios. The series tells the story of new york police detective Sam Tyler, that, after being struck by a car at 2008, regains consciousness in 1973. Fringing between multiple genres, including police procedural and thriller, science fiction, the series remained ambiguous about its central storyline, with the character himself unsure about his situation. The series also starred Harvey Keitel, Jonathan Murphy, Michael Imperioli, and Gretchen Mol. Life on Mars gained praise for depiction of this 1970s, behaving, and its own premise but suffered after also a hiatus and its premiere. ABC announced on March 2, 2009 it wouldn't be ordering a second season. A DVD collection of the whole series has been released on September 29, 2009.
