Glitter
Glitter is an American television drama show broadcast by the ABC network during the 1984-1985 season.
The show was produced by Aaron Spelling and was put behind the scenes of a high entertainment magazine titled"Glitter" and attempted to combine the urgency of journalism and business politics with the glamorous lifestyles of the rich and famous featured in the pages of the magazine. The cast members had been Morgan Brittany David Birney and Arthur Hill.
The structure of the show was like two other ABC shows which were produced by Aaron Spelling. The Love Boat and Hotel it heavily featured visible guest appearances from famous stars, such as Ginger Rogers and Cyd Charisse. Glitter was not really a ratings victory. The initial 3 episodes aired in September 1984, after three episodes were shown, and the series was shot off the air until December 1984. Tests failed to improve and the show was cancelled. The eight episodes were shown as part of ABCs lineup.
Glitter was sold abroad. It had been revealed in the summer of 1985 on BBC1 in the UK.
