G.B.H.

GBH was a television drama written by Alan Bleasdale exhibited at the summer of 1991 on Channel 4. The protagonists were the Militant tendency-supporting Labour pioneer of a town council at the North of England, Michael Murray along with Jim Nelson, the headmaster of a school for troubled children. The series had been controversial partially because Murray appeared to be based on Derek Hatton, former Deputy Leader of Liverpool City Council -- in a interview in the G.B.H. DVD Bleasdale recounts an accidental meeting with Hatton before the succession, who indicates that he has caught end of Bleasdale's goals but will not mind so long as the actor playing is"handsome". In ordinary parlance, the initials"GBH" reference the criminal complaint of grievous bodily harm - however, the actual goal of these letters is that it is supposed to endure Good British Holiday.
