Dante

Dante is a NBC adventure/drama tv set starring Howard Duff a gambler who works Dante's Inferno, as Willie Dante, a San Francisco nightclub. Alan Mowbray co-starred the Maitre d', as Stewart Styles. Tom D'Andrea as Biff, Dante's"man Friday", and Mort Mills as authorities Lieutenant Bob Malone. Dante asserts to have placed his past behind him has retained old partners Stewart and Biff. While his club is valid, neither law enforcement nor the mob believe he could be done with the underworld. Dante partners in crime keep looking to tempt him back. Dick Powell had played Dante in eight episodes of his Four Star Playhouse compiled. There, Willie operates a illegal gambling operation from the trunk of this"Inferno", which authorities soon shut down. The only real regular from the Four Star Playhouse variant to be cast from the series was Mowbray, who had played a millionaire named Jackson who had gambled away his fortune and functioned as a member of Dante's waiters.
