Candy Candy

Candy Candy is actually just a book, manga, and anime collection. The major personality, Candice"Candy" White Ardlay can be a blonde girl with freckles, large emerald green eyes and long, frizzy hair, worn in pigtails with bows. Candy Candy first appeared at a pro se book. The Western magazine Nakayoshi became curious when Mizuki and manga artist Yumiko Igarashi joined forces. The show was serialized as a manga series from the magazine for four years and won the 1st Kodansha Manga Award for sh?jo at 1977. The story was adapted into an anime series by Toei Animation. There are a number of Candy Chocolate films which were never released beyond Japan.
