A Country Practice

A Country Practice was a drama series on Australian television. One of the longest-running series of its sort at the time of its debut, produced by JNP Productions' James Davern, who authored the pilot episode and placed third in a network writing contest in1979, garnering a merit award. From 18 November 1981 until 22 November 1993, it aired 1,058 episodes on the Seven Network. It was made at ATN-7's Epping, Sydney, facility. After a successful run on the seven network, it was taken up by network ten for 30 episodes from April to November1994, with a mostly new cast, albeit the ten series was not as popular as the seven series. The Channel Seven series was shot in Pitt Town, and the Channel Ten series was shot in Emerald, Victoria.
