Yentl

Rebbe Mendel is a father who instructs the Talmud, a sacred text of Judaism, towards the boys of his Polish town. Behind closed doors, he instructs Yentl , his daughter , despite the undeniable fact that girls are prohibited to review scripture that is religious. If Yentl's father dies, she finds love along the way, and still has a desire to learn about her faith -- so she disguises herself as a male, enrolls in a religious faculty.
