Throne of Blood

Returning to their lord's castle, samurai warriors Washizu and Miki are waylaid by a spirit who predicts their own stocks. Washizu's scheming wife, Asaji, pushes him to speed up the rest of the prophecy of the spirit by usurping his place and killing his lord when the first area of the prophecy of the spirit comes true. Director Akira Kurosawa's re-setting of William Shakespeare's"Macbeth" in feudal Japan is one of the most acclaimed films.
