The Story of Qiu Ju

The Story of Qiu Ju is a 1992 Chinese comedy drama film. Zhang Yimou directed the movie and in most of the films, celebrities Gong Li in the title character. The screenplay is an adaption of Chen Yuanbin's novella The Wan Family's Lawsuit. The movie tells the story of a peasant woman. Qiu Ju travels to a neighboring town, and later a large city to take care of its own bureaucrats and find justice Once her husband is kicked in the groin by the village head.
