The Sleeping Beauty (The Royal Ballet)
The evil fairy Carabosse rages she wasn't invited to Princess Aurora's christening. She provides the child a spindle, claiming that a person day the Princess will puncture her finger on it as well as die. The Lavender Fairy makes her own christening present a conditioning of Carabosse's curse: Aurora will not die, yet will come under a deep sleep, which only a royal prince's kiss will certainly damage. The masterful 19th-century choreography of Marius Petipa is combined with areas produced for The Royal Ballet by Frederick Ashton, Anthony Dowell and Christopher Wheeldon. Tape-recorded live as part of the Royal Opera House Live Cinema Season 2019/20 with repetition testings relay online during the #OurHousetoYourHouse programme.
