The Return of the Musketeers

It is 1649, and Mazarin has hired the destitute D'Artagnan to track down the remaining musketeers: Because Cromwell has deposed the English monarch, Mazarin is concerned of a revolt, notably from the popular Beaufort. Porthos, dissatisfied with his fortune and desirous of obtaining a title, agrees to help Beaufort, but Aramis, an abbé, and Athos, a brawler with an educated son, work in the background. When the musketeers fail to prevent Beaufort's escape from prison, they are deemed expendable, and Mazarin dispatches them to London in order to rescue Charles I. Their pursuers include Justine, the vengeful daughter of Milady de Winter, who was their adversary twenty years ago. Their mission is to flee England, evade Justine, serve the Queen, and ensure the implementation of Beauford's political changes.
