The Raffle

Francesca, a stunningly gorgeous woman, finds her husband's infidelity and massive debts after his death. Cesare, a solicitor, is Francesca's best friend. Following his suggestion, Francesca begins to sell everything of her belongings, including the mansion, diamonds, furs, and, eventually, the yacht. She is able to exist for the remainder of the year as a result of this, but she has no prospects for the future and every attempt to find work fails. Finally, she decides to start a lottery with herself as the winner.
