The Racer

The first stages of the Tour de France are moved to Ireland in the summer of 1998. When Dom Chabol was in his late 30s, he was one of the best "Domestiques" (support riders) on the Tour for 20 years. To help the team's sprinter win, you have to sacrifice yourself. You set the pace, block the wind, and help the team's sprinter get to the finish line. It's just that Dom has a secret desire to wear the yellow jersey one time before his career is over. At the start of what is likely to be his last tour, Dom is kicked out of the team he has spent his life with. It doesn't help that his best friend, Sonny, is the team masseur. In the beginning, Dom didn't like the idea of going back to civilian life. Then he met Lynn, a young Irish doctor, by chance, and the two became friends. It's only when he's getting ready to go home and face his sister that a doping mistake forces him back into the saddle.
