The Open Road

Minor leaguer Carlton Garret takes an unexpected road trip to find his estranged dad, fabulous baseball player Kyle Garret when Carlton's mommy comes to be ill. When reunited, Carlton struggles to handle the series of ill fortunes triggered by his papa's shenanigans. Efforts at bonding come to a head as the mismatched duo make their method from Ohio back residence to Houston to reunite the family members.
