The Kids Menu

The crew behind "Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead" has released a feature-length documentary called THE KIDS MENU. With his previous two films, Joe Cross met a lot of people all over the world. One thing that came up over and over again was how to help kids who are getting fat. It is Joe's belief that childhood obesity is not the root cause of the problem, but rather a symptom of a much more serious one. It is because people don't know what healthy foods are. A lack of healthy and cheap food and drinks. It also has to do with negative role models, like a parent, teacher, or even a famous person who is bad. As a whole, this seems like a lot to deal with, but when kids are given the power to make their own decisions, they often make the surprising choice to go in a healthy direction.
