The Invisible Guardian

When a teenaged girl's naked body is located on the banks of the River Baztán, it's soon associated with an identical murder 30 days before. Rumours are flying in the local village of Elizondo. Is this the work of a killer or is it the basajaun, the'guardian' of mythology? Inspector Amaia Salazar leads the search, taking her straight back to the center of the country where she had been born, and also at which she hoped never to return. Shrouded in freshwater and surrounded by impenetrable woods, it's an area of unresolved conflicts and a secret in Amaia's youth which should keep coming straight back to haunt her. Up against the superstitions of this village, Amaia needs to fight with the demons of her past. However, as she is drawn deeper into the search, she feels the existence of something darker lurking in the shadows...
